Fikirte Woldeselassie Woldeyohannes is a highly accomplished gender expert, public health professional, academic leader, and researcher with extensive experience in education, research, and community service. She currently serves as Chief Research, Clinical and Community Service Director at Menelik II Medical and Health Science College, where she leads strategic initiatives in research management, community engagement, and capacity building.
With over a decade of experience in academia and leadership, Fikirte has made significant contributions to public health education, gender equality, and health system strengthening in Ethiopia. She has collaborated with national and international organizations, including the Ministry of Health, Ethiopian Federal Police, GIZ-Ethiopia, and the Ethiopian Midwives Association.
In recognition of her outstanding contribution to the healthcare system, Fikirte received a medal and certificate from the Ethiopian Ministry of Health. She is also a passionate trainer and mentor, known for delivering impactful training on Gender, HIV care, PMTCT, research methodology, workplace wellness, and clinical skills.
