Administrative Overview
As a member and secretary of the College Governing Board, the CED plays a central role in the formulation, coordination, and supervision of all College units. By building partnerships with governmental and international institutions, the CED enhances the College’s capacity and ensures that academic programs respond to the health needs of the Addis Ababa City Administration and the nation.

Board Governance
Serving as the Secretary of the Governing Board and coordinating the formulation of institutional policies.
Strategic Partnerships
Building collaborations with governmental and international institutions to enhance institutional capacity.
Merit-based Appointments
Overseeing transparent and merit-based leadership appointments to ensure professional excellence at all levels.
Financial Governance
Ensuring sound financial management and budget implementation in accordance with applicable laws.
Human Resource Development
Developing competent and sufficient human resources to meet the evolving needs of the health sector.
Policy Initiation
Initiating and proposing revisions to College policies to align with national and regional health needs.
External Representation
Representing the College in external relations and promoting the institution as a leader in health sciences.
Accountability & Supervision
Monitoring strategic plans and budgets while promoting transparency and accountability at all levels.

- Committee Oversight: Ensuring the effective operation of all standing and ad-hoc committees.
- Staffing Decisions: Approving appointments and transfers following civil service regulations.
